A very simple 4 ingredient recipe that makes for delicious leftovers and a fantastic family favourite! This is an easy Sunday night dinner that is great to take for lunches.
Here is what you will need for this recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 3 tsp chili seasoning
- 1 can of cream of corn
- 3-4 medium white potatoes
- 1 large pot
- potato masher
- frying pan
- deep dish (oven friendly)
Approximate macros:

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 30-40 minutes
Instructions:
1. Place a large pot of water on high until water is boiling.
2. Place potatoes on the boiling water for 20 minutes. Potatoes should slide off a fork when finished.
3. Preheat oven to 350C.
4. Preheat skillet to medium heat.
5. Cook ground beef in skillet until browned. Sprinkle the chili seasoning on top. Remove from heat.
6. Once potatoes are cooked drain the hot water. Leave potatoes in the large pot and mash with a potato masher.
7. You can add 1 tbsp of butter or 1 tbsp of milk to get the mashed potatoes to the correct consistence.
8. In your deep dish, start to layer the food starting with the ground beef. Add the cream of corn on top of the ground beef and finish the layer off with the mashed potatoes.
9. Use a spoon to make sure that the potatoes are distributed evenly across the pan.
10. Place in the oven for 30-40 minutes until potatoes are golden brown.
