Let me tell you that this is not your average stir fry! This stir fry leans away from the typical delicious Asian inspired stir fry's that you all know and love! The Zesty Chicken Stir Fry is southern inspired and can be prepared in 5 minutes and cooked over night or during the day!

A very simple 4 ingredient recipe that makes for delicious leftovers and a fantastic family favourite! This is an easy Sunday night dinner that is great to take for lunches.
I placed this recipe in the "Good" section of the blog because this recipe incorporates all aspects of the food spectrum. WHICH I LOVE! It is a whole hearty meal that is nutritiously delicious! Here is what you will need (per 4 people): - 3 chicken breasts - 4 cups cooked (1/4 package) of vermicelli rice noodles - 1/2 cup green beans diced - 3 celery stalks diced - 1/2 cup mushrooms diced - 1/2 cooking onion diced - 1/2 red pepper diced - 5 tbsp of teriyaki sauce - 2 tbsp of soya sauce - 2 large skillets - 1 large pot Instructions: 1. Preheat 2 skillets to medium heat 2. Preheat large pot with 1/3rd water to high heat 3. Prepare all vegetables by washing & dicing for cooking in a skillet 4. Place diced vegetables in a non-stick skillet 5. In the second skillet - add in diced chicken breasts to cook 6. Continuously stir both vegetables and chicken until cooked (make sure to keep stirring utensils separate!) 7. Once chicken is cooked - add teriyaki sauce & sautee chicken for an additional 2 minutes 8. Season vegetables with soya sauce - add vegetables and chicken together 9. Place uncooked vermicelli rice noodles in boiling water 10. Cover pot & cook for 2 minutes 11. Drain & serve teriyaki chicken and vegetables over noodles! and VOILA! A delicious all inclusive meal that has incorporated all aspects of the food spectrum! A delicious fast and easy recipe on a busy night! Hope you guys enjoyed this one!

Happy Monday! xo, A This is a gormeut pizza that can be simply made at home. There are so many natural blends and flavours that come together to make a rich & delicious pizza! Seasoned with oregano & basil and topped with mushroom, onion, black olives & cheese it is a great party pizza! Here is what you will need: - 1 homemade pizza package (whole wheat preferred) - 1 chicken breast - 1/2 cup wash spinach - 1/2 cup diced red pepper - 5 mushrooms diced - 1/4 red onion diced - 1/2 cup black olives - 1/2 cup feta cheese - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese - 1 tsp oregano - 1 tsp basil Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 400C 2. Preheat skillet to medium heat 3. Cut chicken breast length wise & season with oregano & basil 4. Meanwhile, layer pizza dough with pizza sauce - sprinkle a little oregano and basil to taste 5. Add a thin layer of spinach (as per below) 6. Once chicken is cooked place on pizza 7. Place mushrooms, red peppers, onion, black olives & feta cheese on pizza 9. Finally, layer with shredded cheddar cheese to finish this pizza off! 10. Place in oven for 12-15 minutes (or as package instructs) And Voila! A magnificent spectacularly delicious gormeut pizza that can easily be made at home! Hope you guys tried this baby out! It has to be all my favourite things combined into one tasty delicious and healthy home made pizza! Here is what you will need (per 1 pizza): - 1 homemade pizza kit (either dough you make yourself or pre made whole wheat is healthier) - 5 tbsp pizza sauce - 1 package of cooked ground turkey - 1 tsp red pepper flakes - 1 tsp cumin - 1 tsp chili powder - 1 tsp cayenne pepper - 5 mushrooms sliced - 1/4 red onion diced - 1/2 red pepper diced - 1/8 german salami sausage sliced - 3 tbsp black olives - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese - 1 tsp oregano - 1 tsp basil Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 400C 2. Cook up ground turkey 3. While cooking season turkey with red pepper flakes, cumin, chill powder and cayenne pepper 4. Once cooked remove from heat 5. Cover pizza dough with pizza sauce 6. Season sauce with oregano and basil spices 7. Placed cooked turkey on top of pizza sauce 8. Place red onion on top followed by mushrooms, red pepper, black olives & salami. 9. Lastly, add shredded cheese on top to finish! 10. Place in the oven for 12-15 minutes and VOILA! Happy Thursday! xo, A If you cannot already tell - I love CAJAN FOOD! I am obsessed with the spices I always find ways to incorporate them into the majority of my recipes! This is a great crockpot recipe that is so easy - you just leave all day and come home to a warm and delicious muffaletta! Here is what you will need (per 4 people) - 4 kaiser buns - 1/2 bag of frozen cooked shrimp - 3 spicy italian sausages (turkey sausages work well too!) - 1 white potato peeled & cut - 5 mini red potatoes diced - 3 celery stalks - 3 carrot sticks peeled & diced - 1/2 zucchini diced - 3 tbsp Cajan spice - 1 tsp paprika - 1 tsp cayenne - 1 tbsp red pepper flakes and my favourite Cajan sauce recipe: - 1 cup mayonnaise - ¼ cup mustard - 2 tsp Cajun - 1 tbsp horseradish - 1 tsp pickled juice - 1 tsp Tabasco sauce - 1 tbsp garlic - 1 tbsp red crushed peppers Instructions: 1. Peel & chop all vegetables and place them in the crockpot 2. Add in the shrimp (I always take the shrimp tales off .. just a pet peeve of mine) 3. Add the defrosted sliced Italian sausages to the mix 4. Season with Cajan spices, cayenne pepper, paprika & red pepper flakes 5. Set on low for 7-8 hours OR set on high for 5-6 hours 6. Once cooked, vegetables should be soft and sausages fully cooked - add cajan mixture to your kaiser bun 7. Top off with my special Cajan sauce and VOILA! Delicious cajan inspired muffaletta ! With BBQ season just around this corner this is a favourite that everyone in the family will love! Here is what you will need: - 3-4 turkey breasts (per 3-4 people) - 1 tbsp honey dijon - 2 tbsp BBQ sauce (of your choice) - 1 tomato sliced - 3-4 pickles sliced - 1 leaf of lettuces - 3-4 buns (I use weight watchers thin buns on 110 calories!) Instructions: 1. Preheat BBQ to 350C 2. Place turkey breasts over heated grill and leave for 5 minutes 3. After 5 minutes, rotate breasts to the other side 4. Season the one cooked turkey breasts with honey dijon & BBQ sauce 5. Let cook for another 5-8 minutes 6. Flip & season the last side 7. Grill for another 5-8 minutes until turkey breasts are fully cooked all the way through 8. Place cooked turkey breasts on bun of your choice 9. Layer with your toppings of your choice - I used tomato, lettuce & pickles 10. Top off with condiments and VOILA! A perfectly grilled turkey burger that will impress the whole family! Until next time xo, A SERIOUSLY DELICIOUS! Be aware! My family absolutely loved this recipe - we didn't even have leftovers! This is a great blend of stir fried inspired Arborio. Take a look below! Here is what you will need (per 4 people): - 1 salmon fillet - 1 tbsp dill weed - 1 tsp black pepper - 1 tsp butter - 1 tsp lemon juice - 1 cup of chopped spinach - 1 tomato diced - 1 diced onion - 1 green onion stalk diced - 2 celery stalks chopped - 1/2 red pepper diced - 1/2 cup of green beans diced - 1 cup Arborio rice - 1/2 cup of feta cheese Instructions: 1. Cook rice as instructed on package (I have a rice cooked, if you do not have one I seriously suggest buying one they are so easy!) 2. Preheat oven to 375C 3. In a shallow oven friendly dish add salmon fillet seasoning with butter, lemon juice & dill weed and pepper to top! 4. Pop in the oven for 20-25 minutes (keep an eye and remove when no longer pink) 5. Preheat skillet to medium heat 6. Add olive oil or non stick spray to pan and throw in your diced onions 7. Slowly add each vegetable; first celery followed by green beans, red pepper and lastly green onions, tomato and spinach for the last 2 minutes 8. Remove salmon from oven once fully cooked 9. Pull salmon apart and slowly add to cooking vegetables 10. Add in feta cheese 11. Lastly, add cooked rice to heated skillet seasoning with a dash of balsamic vinegar to taste and VOILA!!!!!! This a very simple traditional Chinese dish that is super easy, delicious & a classic! Here is what you will need (per 4 people): - 1 cup of jasmine rice - 2 cups of water - 3 stalks of celery - 2 carrot sticks - 1/2 green pepper diced - 1/2 red pepper diced - 3 eggs (scrambled) - 1 tbsp milk - 1 cooked chicken breast (plain) - 5 tbsp of soya sauce - 1 tbsp sesame oil Instructions: 1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add in jasmine rice 2. Cover and remove from heat for 10-15 minutes (as per your package of rice) 3. Preheat frying pan to medium heat with sesame oil 4. Add diced vegetables; celery, carrots, green & red pepper 5. Fry until vegetables are soft 6. In separate frying pan, heat to low-medium - add 3 eggs and the milk 7. Continuously stir until eggs are completely scrambled (should be fluffy) 8. Add scrambled eggs and chicken to vegetable frying pan & stir well 9. Season vegetables, eggs & chicken with soya sauce 10. Lastly, add in the cooked rice, mix well & VOILA! Happy New Year! Hope everyone enjoys!
xo, A Okay I have been trying some new southern inspired recipes .. cause who doesn't love a little SPICE in their LIFE! And I LOOOOOVE crock pot recipes there so easy to throw in the morning and come home after a long day of work for a delicious cooked meal. So here is what you will need: For the Crock Pot: - 2 hot italian sausage links - 1/2 kielbasa - 3 tbsp bread crumbs - 1 red pepper - 2 onions - 1/2 green pepper - 2 jalapeños - Canjun spice - Red crushed pepper flakes - 4-6 large buns (depending on number of mouths your feeding) For Sauce: - 1 cup mayonnaise - ¼ cup mustard - 2 tsp Cajun - 1 tbsp horseradish - 1 tsp pickled juice - 1 tsp Tabasco sauce - 1 tbsp garlic - 1 tbsp red crushed peppers Instructions! 1. Prepare all onions, tomatoes and peppers by cutting out inside and dicing 2. Layer the BOTTOM of the crock pot with onions 3. Followed by tomatoes, all peppers 4. Add a good amount of Cajun seasoning 5. Cut sausage links and kielbasa into round cubes (if you will.. haha) 6. Add meat to top layer of the crock pot 7. Season top with bread crumbs, Cajun and red pepper flakes (should look as below) 8. Slow cook on low for approximately 6 hours After it is done it should look as so… Now for the SAUCE: 9. Combine all ingredients in a bowl … should look similar to this texture and colour! This sauce is seriously delicious you can use for any sandwich!!!! 10. Finally add meat and roasted veggies to your bun of choice Add you AMAZING sauce and VOILA!!! I hope you all enjoy!
